- Vintage Sunburst High Gloss
Ibanez built the PC15VS as part of its PF Series, positioning it as an entry-level grand concert acoustic guitar finished in Vintage Sunburst High Gloss. The model carried a spruce top over Nyatoh back and sides, with a PC-profile Nyatoh neck joining a Nandu Wood fretboard and matching Nandu Wood bridge.
The neck measures 42mm at the nut and carries a 250mm radius fretboard over a 634mm scale length. Neck thickness runs 21.5mm at the first fret and 23.5mm at the seventh, with a width of 15¼" at the body join. Body depth reaches a maximum of 4¼", and the string spacing at the bridge sits at 11mm. Twenty frets are marked with white dot inlays, and a black-and-white multi-layer rosette surrounds the soundhole. Hardware consisted of chrome die-cast tuners, plastic nut and saddle, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The guitar left the factory strung with a .012–.053 set in standard E-A-D-G-B-E tuning.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the 42mm nut width and 634mm scale length are useful reference points when matching a replacement nut, saddle, or strings; a qualified luthier or guitar technician can advise on compatible substitutes for the Nandu Wood bridge components and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
