Ibanez built the AVC11ABK as part of the Artwood Vintage series, an acoustic line positioned around vintage-informed construction and tonewoods. The Antique Black Semi Gloss finish distinguished it visually within the series.
The guitar was constructed with a Thermo Aged Solid Caucasian Spruce top braced with Thermo Aged Spruce X bracing, paired with Okoume back and sides. The Nyatoh neck was carved to a Soft-V profile and measured 45mm at the nut, with a 634mm scale length, a 400mm radius Ovangkol fretboard, and 20 frets. Body binding was tortoiseshell, with herringbone top purfling and a wooden multi-ring soundhole rosette. Gold Mother of Pearl dot inlays marked the fretboard positions. Hardware included Antique Chrome tuners with oval knobs, unbleached oil-impregnated bone nut and saddle, an Ovangkol bridge, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario XTAPB1253 strings gauged .012–.053 at standard tuning, with an 11mm string spacing at the saddle.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — strings, saddle, nut blanks, or bridge pins — should confirm measurements against the figures above before ordering. A qualified luthier or guitar technician can assist with setup, nut and saddle fitting, and any structural assessment.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
