Ibanez produced the ACFS300CEOPS as part of its Artwood Series, positioning it as an acoustic-electric grand concert instrument finished in an open pore semi-gloss treatment. The deeper body depth variant of the cutaway grand concert body placed it toward the more resonant end of the Artwood acoustic line.
The top is solid Engelmann Spruce, braced with scalloped X bracing and dressed with wooden top board purfling and a Pau Ferro rosette with soundhole binding. Back and sides are Okoume. The five-piece African Mahogany and Pau Ferro neck is cut in a Thin C shape with rounded fretboard edges, and carries a Macassar Ebony fretboard and matching Macassar Ebony bridge over 20 frets. The nut and saddle are both unbleached, oil-impregnated bone. String spacing at the saddle is 11mm, nut width is 45mm, and scale length is 651mm. The neck measures 20.5mm thick at the first fret and 21.5mm at the seventh, with a 400mm radius fretboard. Chrome die-cast tuners and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins complete the hardware. Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle and block contact pickup routed through an Ibanez DP1 preamp, with dual outputs supporting both mono and stereo connection. The guitar left the factory strung with Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze Light strings (.012–.053).
