- Artwood
Ibanez built the ACFS580CEOPS as part of the Artwood Series, positioning it as a feature-forward acoustic-electric with an emphasis on tonewoods and a dual-output electronics system. The model occupied the upper tier of the Artwood line, distinguished by its Cutaway Grand Concert body with deeper body depth, an open pore semi-gloss finish across the top, back, and sides, and a five-piece neck construction pairing African Mahogany with Pau Ferro.
The top is a selected solid Alpine Spruce, while the back and sides are solid Pau Ferro throughout. The five-piece Comfort Grip neck carries an Ebony fretboard over a 651 mm scale, with a nut width of 45 mm, a 400 mm radius, and 20 frets. Binding is Flamed Maple with wooden multi purfling at the top, and the soundhole rosette combines Abalone and Pau Ferro. Hardware includes Gotoh Chrome SG301 tuners at an 18:1 gear ratio, an unbleached oil-impregnated bone nut and compensated bone saddle, and Ebony bridge pins with Abalone dots. The instrument ships strung with Elixir Phosphor Bronze NANOWEB Light strings at .012–.053 gauge with an 11 mm string spacing. Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup paired with a Block Contact Pickup, routed through an Ibanez DP1 preamp, with dual outputs — a 1/4" endpin jack for mono and a separate 1/4" output for stereo — powered by two AAA batteries.
Owners sourcing replacement parts such as bone nut blanks, Gotoh-compatible tuner screws, or Elixir string sets should verify measurements against the dimensions listed in this record; for setup adjustments, intonation work, or electronics servicing, a qualified guitar technician or luthier will be the appropriate resource.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
