Schecter built the Keith Merrow KM-6 Mk-III Hybrid LH as a left-handed variant of the signature six-string developed in collaboration with progressive metal guitarist Keith Merrow. The model sat within the upper tier of Schecter's artist signature line and was manufactured in South Korea. Its neck-thru-body construction with Ultra Access featured a three-piece maple neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods, paired with a mahogany body, radius top, and black single-ply binding.
The 25.5-inch scale ran across a maple fretboard with a 12–16-inch compound radius, 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets, offset and reverse aluminum circle inlays, and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. The Ultra Thin 'C' neck profile measured 0.748 inches at the first fret and 0.787 inches at the twelfth, and the 42mm Ernie Ball Compensated Nut anchored string spacing at the headstock, where Schecter locking tuners held the factory-installed Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings. A Hipshot Hardtail bridge with string-thru-body anchoring paired with Fishman Fluence Keith Merrow humbuckers at both positions, powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Controls consisted of a single volume knob and three-way pickup switch, with metal knurled knobs secured by set screws. All hardware was finished in black. The two-way adjustable truss rod was accessible via a heel-access spoke wheel.
