Schecter built the DJ Ashba USA Signature as a high-specification instrument anchored in its American Custom shop, positioned as a touring-grade electric guitar bearing the signature of the guitarist known for his work with Sixx:A.M. and Guns N' Roses. It carried a bolt-on neck construction and a Floyd Rose Original bridge with D-Tuner, placing it firmly in the performance-oriented, extended-range-compatible segment of Schecter's USA lineup.
The body is alder with black binding, paired with a maple neck in Schecter's Custom C profile. The ebony fretboard runs to 22 Jescar Premium German Silver frets at a 14-inch radius, with Crow Celluloid Pearl inlays and a 25.5-inch scale length. Nut duties are handled by a Floyd Rose Locking unit. The 2+4 matching headstock carries locking tuners. Electronics follow an HH configuration: an EMG 81 at the bridge and a Sustainiac at the neck, controlled through a master volume, a killswitch, a 3-way toggle, and two mini toggles dedicated to Sustainiac operation. Hardware is finished in black and chrome. The guitar was produced in Satin Charcoal Gray.
Owners requiring setup work, Floyd Rose servicing, or parts sourcing for the Sustainiac system should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with USA-built bolt-on instruments and locking tremolo systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
