Schecter positioned the Reaper-6 (item 1500) as a high-specification six-string solidbody within its Reaper series, built in Indonesia with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access for upper-fret reach. The body was swamp ash with a burl top and a flat top with bevel edge profile, finished here in Satin Charcoal Burst.
The multi-ply maple and walnut neck incorporated carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carried a 14-inch-radius ebony fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets and pearloid offset/reverse dot inlays. The 25.5-inch scale (648mm) paired with a 1.653-inch (42mm) nut width cut from Graph Tech XL Black Tusq. Neck thickness measured .748 inch (19mm) at the first fret and .787 inch (20mm) at the twelfth, profiled as an Ultra Thin 'C'. A two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed with a 5/32-inch (4mm) Allen key. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge runs string-through-body and accepts the factory-spec Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010–.046). Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Decimator humbuckers, wired to a volume control, a push-pull tone control, and a 3-way switch. Hardware is finished in black and chrome. The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
Owners requiring truss rod adjustment, fret work, or replacement of the Graph Tech nut or bridge saddles should consult a qualified guitar technician, who can confirm correct string spacing and saddle compatibility for this hardtail, string-through platform.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
