The Schecter 6508 Apocalypse-VII is a seven-string humbucker set — bridge and neck — built around a tri-field magnet arrangement: Alnico V direct-coupled construction flanked by ceramic 8 magnets on each side. That combination runs two different magnetic circuits through the same coil stack. The bridge reads at 16.4k ohms; the neck at 11.2k ohms. Both pickups carry a 4-conductor harness and a split-coil design, so coil-splitting is wired in without any modification to the pickup itself.
Two things decide whether this set fits your guitar: pole spacing and string count. Both pickups in this set are wound for 61mm universal spacing, which covers the most common bridge and neck routes on seven-string guitars — but measure your existing pickup before ordering. Beyond spacing, this is a seven-string set. It will not drop into a six-string route, and it is not an eight-string pickup. Also confirm whether your body is direct-mount or ring-mount; the baseplate here is a black industrial-coated nickel/silver plate, and the mounting hardware that comes with your guitar may not transfer.
The pole pieces are 14 high carbon steel socket-set screws, fully adjustable. That matters on a floating tremolo where string-to-string balance shifts with setup changes — you can dial each pole individually rather than living with a fixed height across the row. The bobbins are translucent smoke black.
If you are not certain this is the right fit for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check it against what we have on the bench.
