The Schecter 6502 Apocalypse-VI is a six-string humbucker set — bridge and neck — built around a tri-field magnet arrangement: Alnico V direct-coupled construction combined with ceramic 8 flanking magnets on each pickup. The result is a design that handles high-output playing without the pole pieces becoming the weak point. Each pickup runs a 4-conductor harness and a split-coil design, so coil-splitting is wired in from the start. Bridge output is 14.4k ohms; neck is 10.3k ohms. Baseplates are black industrial-coated nickel/silver. Pole pieces are 12 high-carbon steel socket-set adjustable units per pickup.
Two things decide whether this set fits your guitar: pole spacing and string count. This is a six-string set — it does not cross over to seven- or eight-string routes. On spacing, both pickups run 49mm: the bridge at 49mm Traditional Spacing, the neck at 49mm Universal Spacing. Bridge pickups on a floating-tremolo guitar often need wider spacing than neck pickups because string spread increases toward the saddles. If your existing bridge pickup uses a different spacing, measure before ordering — outer strings landing off the pole pieces is not a tone preference, it is a fit failure. Also check whether your body routes for direct-mount or ring-mount; the hardware is not the same.
The adjustable pole pieces let you dial each string level independently once the pickup is seated, which matters on any guitar with a radiused fretboard where string-to-pole distance varies across the width.
If you are not certain this is the right set for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check it against what we know.
