The Schecter Apocalypse-VII (part 6258) is a seven-string bridge pickup built around a tri-field magnet arrangement: Alnico V direct-coupled construction combined with ceramic 8 flanking magnets on either side. That combination gives the pickup a measured DC resistance of 16.4k ohms. It ships with a 4-conductor harness and a split-coil design, so series, parallel and single-coil wiring options are all available without rewinding. The baseplate is black industrial coated nickel/silver. The 14 high carbon steel socket set pole pieces are individually adjustable.
Two things decide whether this pickup fits your guitar. First, string count: this is a seven-string pickup and it is not interchangeable with six-string or eight-string units. Second, spacing: the pole spacing is 61mm universal spacing, which is correct for a bridge position on most seven-string floating tremolo guitars, but measure your existing pickup or route before ordering — a neck-spaced pickup dropped into a bridge route will leave the outer strings off the pole pieces. Also check your mounting: direct-mount bodies and ring-mount bodies need different hardware, and that hardware is not always included.
The split-coil wiring and 4-conductor harness mean hum-cancelling operation in series mode is available, which matters on a high-output pickup at 16.4k ohms where single-coil hum would otherwise be audible at stage volume.
If you are not certain this is the right pickup for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm it fits before you order.
