The Schecter 6259 Apocalypse-VII is a seven-string neck pickup. It uses a tri-field magnet arrangement: a direct-coupled Alnico V magnet at the centre, flanked by two Ceramic 8 magnets. The result is a pickup that runs 11.2k ohms output and ships with a 4-conductor harness, so coil-splitting is wired in from the start without any additional modification to the pickup itself.
Two things decide whether this pickup fits your guitar: pole spacing and string count. This is a seven-string pickup — it will not cover an eight-string spread, and fitting it into a six-string route leaves the outer strings without pole coverage. Spacing is 61mm universal spacing, which suits neck position routing. Bridge routes on tremolo-equipped guitars typically use wider spacing; if you are filling a bridge slot, measure before ordering. Also check whether your body uses a direct-mount or ring-mount configuration, because the mounting hardware is not the same between the two.
The baseplate is black industrial-coated nickel/silver. There are 14 high-carbon steel socket-set pole pieces, individually adjustable, which lets you balance output string by string once it is installed. The bobbins are translucent smoke black.
If you are not certain this is the correct pickup for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm it fits before you commit to the order.
