The Schecter 6503 Apocalypse-VI is a six-string humbucker set — bridge and neck — built around a tri-field magnet arrangement: Alnico V direct-coupled construction with ceramic 8 magnets flanking on each side. Each pickup uses 12 high carbon steel socket set adjustable pole pieces and ships with a 4-conductor harness for coil-splitting. The baseplate is black industrial coated nickel/silver. Output measures 14.4k ohms at the bridge and 10.3k ohms at the neck.
Two things decide whether this set fits before you order. First, string count: this is a six-string pickup. It will not cover a seven- or eight-string spread. Second, spacing. The bridge pickup runs 53mm tremolo spacing — correct for a floating bridge route, not a hard-tail or tune-o-matic spacing. The neck pickup runs 49mm universal spacing. If you drop a bridge pickup with the wrong spacing into position, the outer strings will not track the pole pieces cleanly. Measure your existing pickup's spacing string-to-string across the outer poles before ordering. Also check your mounting situation: direct-mount bodies and ring-mount bodies need different hardware, and this set's baseplate dimensions need to match your route.
The split coil design is the reason for the 4-conductor harness — you can wire each coil independently for a single-coil option, provided your control cavity has the switch for it. The adjustable pole pieces let you balance output across strings after installation without pulling the pickup.
If you are not certain this is the right set for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check fit against what we know of the route.
