Description

The Schecter 6437 SuperRock Vintage is a two-pickup set — bridge and neck — built around an Alnico V magnet with direct-coupled construction. The split-coil design runs a 4-conductor harness, which means you get full humbucker output and a coil-split option without rewiring. Output measures 9.0k ohms at the bridge and 7.9k ohms at the neck. The baseplate is solid nickel/silver. Pole pieces are nickel-plated carbon steel: six at .1875" per pickup, with #5 slot pan head Phillips screws on the adjustable row.

Two things decide whether this set fits your guitar. First, pole spacing: the bridge pickup is spaced at 53mm tremolo spacing, which is correct for floating-tremolo-equipped guitars where the strings fan slightly wider at the bridge. Put a neck-spaced pickup in that route and the outer strings fall off the pole pieces. The neck pickup runs 49mm universal spacing. Second, this is a six-string set — it will not align correctly on a seven- or eight-string. Beyond spacing and string count, check how your body is routed: direct-mount cavities and ring-mount routes need different hardware going in.

The 4-conductor harness is the detail that matters most for long-term use. It gives you the coil-split without cutting the leads later and hoping the pickup survives it. Alnico V magnets are direct-coupled to the pole pieces rather than sitting below a keeper plate, which keeps the magnetic circuit tight.

If you are not certain this is the right spacing or string count for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm before you order.
