The Schecter 6434 SuperRock Vintage is a matched humbucker set built around an Alnico V direct-coupled magnet and a solid nickel/silver baseplate. Both pickups run a 4-conductor harness with a split-coil design, so you can wire them for full-humbucker or split-coil operation without swapping hardware. Bridge output measures 9.0k ohms, neck measures 7.9k ohms — enough headroom to push an amp into breakup at full power, with the coil split pulling back to a cleaner, more open response. Pole pieces are six nickel-plated carbon steel units per pickup: standard round poles on one coil, #5 slot pan-head Phillips screws on the other, adjustable for string-to-string balance.
Two things decide whether this set fits your guitar. First, string count: this is a six-string pickup — seven- and eight-string routes are not compatible. Second, spacing: the bridge pickup runs 49mm Traditional spacing and the neck runs 49mm Universal spacing. A bridge pickup installed in a neck route, or vice versa, will leave the outer strings sitting off the pole pieces. Measure the distance between your outer pole pieces on the existing pickup before ordering. Also confirm whether your body takes direct-mount or ring-mount pickups — the screw pattern is different and the hardware does not transfer between the two.
The baseplate is solid nickel/silver. The Alnico V magnet uses direct-coupled construction — the magnet bears against the pole pieces rather than being separated by a keeper bar. This affects how the pickup responds to string attack and how quickly the output cleans up when you roll back the volume.
If you are not certain this set fits your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm before you order.
