The Schecter 6387 Route 57 is a six-string neck pickup built around a NOS rough cast Alnico V bar magnet and a solid German silver long leg baseplate. The pole piece array runs six high carbon steel .187" slugs paired with six Philister head adjustable pole pieces. Output measures 7.5k ohms. Wiring is a 2-conductor braided push-back shielded lead. Spacing is 49mm universal.
Two things decide whether this part fits your guitar: pole spacing and string count. This is a neck-position, six-string pickup. Running it in a bridge route on most tremolo-equipped guitars will put the outer strings off the pole pieces — bridge routes take wider-spaced pickups. Seven- and eight-string guitars are out entirely. Beyond position and string count, check how your body is set up: direct-mount bodies and ring-mount bodies need different hardware, so confirm which you have before ordering.
The Alnico V magnet is NOS rough cast — not a modern smooth-cast substitute. The German silver baseplate uses long legs. If the failure mode on your current pickup is a cracked baseplate or a magnet that has lost its charge, those are the two structural details worth comparing against what you are pulling out.
If you are not certain this is the right pickup for your guitar, send us the make, model, and year and we will tell you before you buy.
