The Schecter 6062 San Andreas-8 is a neck pickup built for eight-string guitars. It runs a ceramic 8 magnet in a direct coupled tri-field construction, with 16 pole pieces at .25" nickel plated carbon steel. Output measures 13.8k ohms. The 4-conductor harness gives you coil-split capability if your control cavity is wired for it — useful when the same guitar needs to cover cleaner territory without a pickup swap.
Two things decide whether this part fits. First, string count: this is an eight-string pickup. It will not cover a seven-string or six-string route correctly. Second, pole spacing: neck and bridge positions use different spacing, and a neck-spaced pickup dropped into a bridge route leaves the outer strings sitting off the poles. This pickup is spec'd at 71mm universal spacing — measure your existing pickup and confirm the route before ordering. Also check your mounting situation: direct-mount bodies and ring-mount bodies need different hardware, and that hardware does not transfer.
The baseplate is an engraved powdercoated aircraft aluminum — it will not flex under direct-mount pressure the way a plastic baseplate does, which matters if the body pulls the pickup unevenly across string height.
If you are not certain this is the right part for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm it fits before anything ships.
