Schecter positioned the C-8 Deluxe (item 440) as an eight-string entry in its C-series line, built on a bolt-on construction with a basswood body featuring a flat top with bevel edge. The guitar was finished in Satin Black and manufactured in Indonesia.
The maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard at a 16" (406mm) radius. Twenty-four narrow extra-jumbo frets run the 28" (711mm) baritone-extended scale, capped by a 2.125" (54mm) graphite nut — a width that reflects the eight-string string spread. A 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. The bridge is a tune-o-matic with string-through-body anchoring, finished in chrome along with the remaining hardware. Both pickup positions use Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, controlled by a volume, tone, and 3-way switch on metal knurled knobs secured with set screws. Schecter-branded tuners complete the hardware complement. Inlays are 4mm dots.
