Schecter positioned the C-7 Deluxe as a seven-string entry in its C-series line, built around a bolt-on construction with a basswood body and a maple neck. The instrument was finished in Satin Black and manufactured in Indonesia.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, topped with a rosewood fretboard at a 16" (406mm) radius. Twenty-four X-Jumbo frets span a 26.5" (673mm) scale, and the 1.889" (48mm) graphite nut accommodates the seven-string spread. A two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. Hardware is chrome throughout: a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring, Schecter tuners, metal knurled knobs with set screws, and a three-way switching arrangement governing the two Schecter Diamond Plus pickups at bridge and neck positions. The body features a flat top with a bevel edge. The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
