Schecter positioned the C-8 Deluxe as an eight-string entry in the C-series line, built on a bolt-on construction with a basswood body featuring a flat top with bevel edge. It was manufactured in Indonesia and finished in Satin White.
The maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile — measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth — and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard at a 16" (406mm) radius. The 28" (711mm) scale accommodates the extended eight-string range, and the 2.125" (54mm) graphite nut spans accordingly. Twenty-four narrow X-jumbo frets are marked with 4mm dot inlays. A two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. Hardware is chrome throughout: a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring, Schecter tuners, and metal knurled knobs with set screws. Both bridge and neck positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus pickups, routed through a Volume/Tone/3-Way Switch control layout.
