Schecter positioned the C-6 Deluxe at the entry-to-mid tier of its C-series electric guitar line, offering a bolt-on construction instrument built in Indonesia. The model carried a flat-top body with a bevel edge in basswood, mated to a maple neck via bolt-on joint, and was finished in Satin Black.
The rosewood fretboard ran a 14-inch radius across 24 narrow X-jumbo frets, with 4mm dot inlays spaced along a 25.5-inch (648mm) scale. Neck thickness measured .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth, shaped into Schecter's Thin 'C' profile. A graphite nut at 1.653 inches (42mm) wide fed the strings to Schecter tuners, while a two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32-inch Allen nut ran through the neck. Electronics consisted of two Schecter Diamond Plus pickups — one at the bridge, one at the neck — controlled by a volume knob, a tone knob, and a three-way switch, all hardware finished in chrome. Metal knurled knobs with set screws rounded out the control layout. The bridge was a tune-o-matic with string-through-body anchoring, and the instrument shipped strung with .010–.046 gauge strings. The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
