Schecter positioned the C-6 FR Deluxe (item 434) as a double-locking tremolo entry in its C-series line, built in Indonesia with a bolt-on construction and a basswood body featuring a flat top with bevel edge. The model was equipped with an SGR by Floyd Rose bridge and locking nut, making it a cost-accessible option within the Floyd Rose ecosystem.
The maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, joined to a rosewood fretboard with 24 narrow X-Jumbo frets, a 14" (355mm) radius, and 4mm dot inlays. The nut width of 1.625" (41.3mm) and 25.5" (648mm) scale length are standard for the platform. Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers occupy both the bridge and neck positions, routed through a Volume/Tone/3-Way Switch layout with metal knurled knobs. Hardware throughout is chrome. A 2-way adjustable truss rod accepts a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. The guitar shipped strung with .010–.046 gauge strings and was offered in Satin Black (SBK); a case was sold separately as the SGR-1C.
Owners seeking replacement parts — particularly SGR by Floyd Rose bridge components, locking nuts, or Diamond Plus pickup covers — should consult a qualified guitar technician, as Floyd Rose-pattern parts compatibility depends on precise measurement of the existing hardware.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
