Schecter built the Robert Smith UltraCure VI as a signature baritone six-string bass-guitar hybrid, positioned within the UltraCure line as a high-specification artist instrument. The model carried item number 363 and was finished in Silver Burst Pearl. Construction followed a set-neck design with Ultra Access, pairing a mahogany body with a three-piece maple neck reinforced by carbon fiber rods — an arrangement Schecter used to address long-scale stability at the instrument's 30-inch scale.
The rosewood fretboard ran 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 14-inch radius, with a Thin 'C' neck profile measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth.
