Schecter positioned the Hellcat-VI as a baritone-scale, six-string instrument built around a 30-inch scale length and a bolt-on Swamp Ash body, placing it at the intersection of guitar ergonomics and extended-range bass territory. The Ivory Pearl finish with ivory 1-ply binding gave the instrument a restrained, vintage-leaning aesthetic within Schecter's extended-range catalogue.
The neck was maple with carbon fiber reinforcement rods, profiled in a C shape measuring .826" at the first fret and .905" at the twelfth, topped with a pau ferro fretboard carrying 22 X-Jumbo frets at a 12" radius. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.653" (42mm) width and a 2-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" Allen nut govern the front end. The bridge was a TonePros System fitted with custom brass saddles, and tuning was handled by Grover Vintage Deluxe machines — all hardware finished in nickel. The three Schecter USA MonsterTone Stack pickups were wired to a volume control, a tone control, a 5-way pickup switch, and three individual on-off coil-split slider switches, giving the owner a wide range of single-coil and stacked voicings. Mother of Pearl dot inlays and retro knobs completed the visual package. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Hellcat VI Custom Strings gauged 90-75-56-44-34-24; owners sourcing replacements should note that gauge set as the baseline for tension and saddle-slot sizing on the TonePros bridge. The SGR-Universal Bass case was sold separately.
Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or parts sourcing on this instrument should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with baritone-scale bolt-on instruments and TonePros bridge systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
