Schecter positioned the E-1 Custom as a high-specification single-series instrument built around a set-neck mahogany platform with a quilted maple top. Carrying item number 3105, it was manufactured in South Korea and finished in Vintage Sunburst. The flat-top body construction, creme multi-ply binding, and mother-of-pearl block inlays on an ebony fretboard placed it toward the upper tier of Schecter's E-1 family.
The three-piece mahogany neck is joined to the body via a set-neck construction with Ultra Access and carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. The 22-fret ebony board runs a 12"–16" compound radius, topped with a Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut at 1.653" width. A 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" Allen nut. The 24.75" scale bridge is a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic paired with a T1Z tailpiece, all finished in chrome. Pickups are Schecter USA-made: a Sunset Strip™ at the bridge and a Pasadena™ at the neck, controlled by a volume, a push-pull tone, and a 3-way switch — all dressed with Grip Tip Speed Knobs. Schecter locking tuners complete the hardware complement. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046; the SGR-E-1 case was sold separately.
