Schecter positioned the C-6 Plus (Item 444) as an accessible entry point in its C-series line, built in Indonesia with a bolt-on maple neck and basswood body. The top carried a quilted maple image veneer under a Vintage Sunburst finish, giving the guitar the visual character of a figured-top instrument. The flat-top body featured a bevel edge contour.
The 25.5" scale neck ran a thin 'C' profile — .787" at the first fret, .866" at the twelfth — over a rosewood fretboard with 24 X-jumbo frets, a 14" radius, and 4mm dot inlays. The 42mm graphite nut fed into Schecter tuners. A tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring handled intonation, backed by chrome hardware throughout. Both pickup positions carried Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, controlled via a volume, a tone, and a 3-way switch, with metal knurled knobs secured by set screws. The two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. Factory strings were gauged .010–.046.
Owners requiring setup work, fret service, or guidance on sourcing a compatible tune-o-matic, string-through saddle, or replacement nut should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with bolt-on, string-through bridge configurations.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
