Schecter positioned the Hellraiser Hybrid C-1 FR at the upper tier of its Hellraiser line, pairing an active pickup platform with a floating tremolo system. The guitar was built in South Korea with a mahogany body and an arched top, joined to a three-piece maple neck via a set-neck construction with Ultra Access heel contouring. The Ultra Violet finish was offered in right-handed configuration only.
The neck carries an ebony fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 25.5" (648mm) scale. The compound 12"-16" fretboard radius flattens toward the upper registers, accommodating both chord work and lead playing. Neck profile is the Ultra Thin 'C' shape, measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. Carbon fiber multi-ply binding edges the body. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and locking nut handle tuning stability under tremolo use; Grover tuners are fitted at the headstock. Electronics consist of an EMG 57 (bridge) and EMG 66 (neck), both in brushed black chrome covers, routed through a Volume/Volume/Tone/3-Way Switch control layout with metal knurled knobs. The active circuit draws from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Hardware throughout is black chrome. The 1.625" (41.3mm) nut width and Floyd Rose 1500 Series locking nut govern string spacing at the headstock end. Schecter specified Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (.010-.046) as the factory string set.
