Schecter positioned the Hellraiser Hybrid PT-7 (item 1937) as a high-specification seven-string electric within the Hellraiser Hybrid series, built in South Korea with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access. The body is mahogany with an arched top, bound in carbon fiber multi-ply, and finished in Ultra Violet.
The three-piece maple neck is reinforced with carbon fiber rods and carries an ebony fretboard with a 12"–16" compound radius, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and Mother of Pearl offset/reverse dot inlays with a Gothic Cross at the 12th fret. The Ultra Thin 'C' profile measures .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.889" (48mm) width and a 2-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" allen nut serve the 26.5" (673mm) baritone scale. Electronics are active, with an EMG 66-7H at the neck and an EMG 57-7H at the bridge — both in brushed black chrome covers — routed through a volume/tone/3-way switch arrangement and powered by a clip-in 9-volt battery compartment. Hardware throughout is black chrome, including the Schecter locking tuners and the Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-through-body stringing. Metal knurled knobs with set screws complete the control layout. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball 7-string gauges (.009–.062).
Owners requiring setup work, fret service, or assistance sourcing compatible parts — including Graph Tech XL Tusq nut blanks, Hipshot hardtail saddles, or EMG 7-string active pickup hardware — should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with extended-range instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
