Schecter positioned the Hellraiser Hybrid C-1 FR S (item 1955) within its Hellraiser Hybrid series as a high-output, feature-laden electric guitar built for extended-range technique and sustained performance. Manufactured in South Korea, the instrument combined active electronics with a set-neck construction and Floyd Rose vibrato system.
The body is mahogany with an arched top and carbon fiber multi-ply binding. The three-piece maple neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carries an ebony fretboard with a 25.5" (648mm) scale, 24 X-jumbo frets, and a 12"-16" compound radius. The Ultra Thin 'C' profile measures .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. Inlays are mother of pearl offset/reverse dots with a Gothic Cross at the 12th fret; side dots are glow-in-the-dark. The nut is a Floyd Rose 1500 Series unit at 1.625" (41.3mm) width, paired with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and Grover tuners, all finished in black chrome. Electronics centre on an EMG 57 (bridge) and a Sustainiac neck pickup; the control complement includes volume, tone, intensity, a 3-way pickup switch, a 2-way Sustainiac on/off switch, and a 3-way Sustainiac mode switch covering Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. Power is supplied by a double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.
Owners requiring setup work, Floyd Rose maintenance, Sustainiac system service, or parts sourcing should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with active electronics and locking vibrato systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
