Schecter built the Stiletto-5 Session as a five-string electric bass positioned within the Stiletto Session line, manufactured in South Korea with a bolt-on construction and a swamp ash body finished in Aged Natural Satin. The instrument was designed around active electronics and an extended 35-inch scale, placing it toward the working-player end of the Stiletto range.
The maple neck carries a C-profile and a maple fretboard with ebony side-block inlays, a 12-inch radius, and 24 narrow extra-jumbo frets. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.771 inches wide, seated above a two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32-inch Allen nut. Hardware runs all black, including Schecter tuners and a Schecter Custom Bass bridge that accepts either string-through-body or top-load stringing. Pickups are an EMG 40DC at the bridge and an EMG 40J at the neck, fed into an 18-volt battery compartment and controlled by a master volume, a blend pot, and a three-band EMG active EQ. Knobs are metal knurled with set screws. The instrument was strung from the factory with Ernie Ball 5-String Super Long #2850 (.045–.130).
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the bridge accepts standard string-through or top-load stringing, and the nut width of 1.771 inches (45mm) is relevant when fitting a replacement nut. For setup, intonation, or any structural work, consult a qualified bass technician or luthier.
