Schecter positioned the Model-T Session as a bolt-on electric bass within its core lineup, built around a swamp ash body and a maple neck and fretboard combination. The instrument was manufactured in South Korea and is strung for right-handed players.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .826" (21mm) at the first fret and .905" (23mm) at the twelfth, mounted to the body via bolt-on construction. The maple fretboard runs a 12" (305mm) radius across 22 narrow extra-jumbo frets over a 34" (863mm) scale, with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.653" (42mm) wide. Position marking is handled by ebony side blocks. A 2-way adjustable truss rod accepts a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. Electronics consist of an EMG P at the neck position and an EMG J at the bridge, routed through a master volume, a blend control, and a 2-band EMG active EQ; the circuit runs on an 18-volt supply accessed via a screw-plate battery compartment. The Schecter Custom Bass bridge accommodates both string-through-body and top-load stringing. Hardware throughout is finished in black, and Grover Vintage Bass 142 Series tuners handle tuning stability. Knobs are metal knurled with set screws. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long #2849 (.045–.105).
