Schecter positioned the Model-T Session-5 as a five-string bass within its Model-T line, built on a swamp ash body with a bolt-on maple neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods. The instrument was manufactured in South Korea and finished in Aged Natural Satin.
The maple fretboard carries 22 narrow extra-jumbo frets over a 12-inch radius, with a 35-inch scale length and a 1.771-inch nut width cut from Graph Tech XL Black Tusq — dimensions oriented toward extended-range playability. The Thin 'C' neck profile measures 0.826 inches at the first fret and 0.905 inches at the twelfth. Pickups are an EMG P5 at the neck and an EMG LJ at the bridge, routed through an 18-volt active circuit with master volume, blend, and a two-band EMG active EQ.
