Schecter built the Stiletto Studio-4 FF as a neck-through four-string bass positioned within the Stiletto Studio series, manufactured in South Korea. The instrument was designed around an extended-range fanned-fret (FF) configuration, giving each string its own optimised scale length across a 34"–35" range, and was offered in a Honey Satin finish with satin gold hardware.
Construction centres on a mahogany body with a bubinga top and a multi-ply maple/walnut neck running through the body with Ultra Access. The 24-fret rosewood fretboard carries offset dot inlays, a 16" radius, and X-Jumbo frets. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 1.496" (38mm) wide, and the neck profile is a Thin 'C' measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. A two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut governs relief. Electronics are an active system: a pair of EMG 35HZ pickups fed through a three-band EMG active EQ, controlled by master volume, blend, and EQ knobs, all running on an 18-volt supply accessed via a screw-plate battery compartment. The S-Tek bridge and Schecter tuners complete the hardware. Strings shipped as Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long #2849 (.045–.105).
Owners tracing replacement parts — particularly Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nuts, EMG 35-series pickups, or S-Tek bridge components — or requiring truss rod adjustments should consult a qualified bass technician or luthier familiar with neck-through, fanned-fret instruments.
