Schecter built the Stiletto Studio-4 LH as a left-handed, neck-through bass in the Stiletto Studio series, positioning it above entry-level instruments with active electronics, a multi-ply through-neck, and a bubinga top over a mahogany body. The left-handed configuration (dexterity: LH) made it a relatively uncommon option within the line.
Construction is neck-thru with Schecter's Ultra Access heel joint, using a maple and walnut multi-ply neck that runs the full length of the body. The fretboard is rosewood, carrying 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 16" radius and abalone offset dot inlays. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 1.496" (38mm) wide, and the truss rod is a two-way adjustable unit adjusted via a 5/32" (4mm) allen key. Scale length is 34" (863mm). Both pickup positions carry EMG 35HZ humbuckers wired into a master volume, blend, and three-band EMG active EQ; the system runs on an 18-volt battery housed behind a screw-plate compartment. The Diamond Custom Bass bridge, Schecter tuners, and metal knurled knobs with set screws are all finished in satin gold. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long #2849 (.045–.105).
