Schecter built the Stiletto Studio-5 FF as a five-string bass positioned within its Stiletto Studio series, constructed in South Korea. The instrument featured a neck-through body design with Ultra Access and was strung for right-handed players, with a Bubinga top over a Mahogany body in a flat-top configuration.
The multi-ply Maple/Walnut neck ran a Thin 'C' profile and carried a Rosewood fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets, a 16" (406mm) radius, and offset dot inlays. The fanned-fret scale spanned 34" to 36" (863mm–914.4mm), accommodating the extended range with a 1.771" (45mm) Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut. A 2-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut handled neck relief. Electronics consisted of a matched pair of EMG 40HZ pickups running through an 18-volt battery system, governed by master volume, blend, and 3-band EMG active EQ controls on metal knurled knobs with set screws, all finished in satin gold hardware. The S-Tek bridge and Schecter tuners completed the hardware complement. Stock strings were Ernie Ball 5 String Super Long #2850 (.045–.130), and the SGR-5SB case was sold separately.
