Description

Schecter built the Stiletto Studio-6 as a six-string electric bass positioned toward the upper tier of the Stiletto series, distinguished by its neck-through construction with Ultra Access, a multi-ply maple and walnut neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods, and a bubinga top over a mahogany body. The instrument was manufactured in South Korea and finished in Honey Satin.

The neck runs a 35-inch scale with a thin 'C' profile, measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth, and carries 24 X-jumbo frets on a rosewood fretboard with a 16-inch radius and abalone offset dot inlays. The 2.125-inch nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit, and the neck is stabilised by dual two-way adjustable truss rods accessed with a 5/32-inch Allen key. Electronics consist of a pair of EMG 45HZ pickups running through an 18-volt active circuit with an EMG three-band EQ, controlled via master volume, blend, and EQ knobs — all metal knurled with set screws. The Diamond Custom Bass bridge, satin gold hardware throughout, and Schecter tuners complete the specification. Strings were supplied as Ernie Ball 6-String Super Long gauged .032–.130.

Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nuts, EMG 45-series pickups, or Diamond Custom Bass bridge components — should verify fit against the dimensions listed here; a qualified bass guitar technician can assist with setup adjustments and any truss rod or electronics work.

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
