Schecter built the Stiletto Studio-6 LH as a six-string, left-handed entry in its Stiletto Studio bass series, positioning it as a neck-through extended-range instrument for players requiring a longer scale and active electronics. The left-handed designation (LH) made it one of the relatively few production extended-range basses offered in that configuration.
Construction is neck-through with Ultra Access, joining a mahogany body capped with a bubinga top finished in Honey Satin. The multi-ply maple and walnut neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and a dual two-way adjustable truss rod system accessed with a 5/32" Allen key. The rosewood fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets over a 16" radius, with abalone offset dot inlays and a 2.125" Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut. The 35" scale is accommodated by Ernie Ball 6-String Super Long strings (.032–.130). Electronics consist of two EMG 45HZ pickups running through an 18-volt active circuit with a master volume, blend, and three-band EMG active EQ, controlled via metal knurled knobs with set screws. Hardware throughout is satin gold, including Schecter tuners and a Diamond Custom Bass bridge. The battery compartment uses a screw-plate cover.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, EMG 45-series pickups, or the dual truss rod hardware — should consult a qualified bass technician to confirm fit against the instrument's actual dimensions before ordering.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
