Schecter built the Stiletto Custom-6 LH as a left-handed extended-range bass within the Stiletto Custom line, positioned as a feature-rich six-string instrument with active electronics and multi-ply neck construction. The left-handed designation (LH) placed it as a dedicated mirror-image build rather than a conversion, finished in Natural Satin over a Flamed Maple top with Walnut accent.
The bass carried a Mahogany body with a Flamed Maple and Walnut top, finished flat with no contour. The Maple/Walnut multi-ply neck was fixed via a 6-bolt joint and carried a Rosewood fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets, a 16" radius, and Pearloid Offset Dot inlays. The 35" scale and 2.125" nut width — fitted with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut — reflect the demands of six-string bass range. A dual 2-way adjustable truss rod system ran through the neck, adjustable via a 5/32" Allen key. Hardware was finished in Satin Gold throughout, including Metal Knurled knobs with set screws and Schecter tuners. Both pickup positions carried EMG 45HZ humbuckers, fed into a Master Volume, Blend, and 2-Band EMG Active EQ circuit drawing from a 9-volt clip-in battery. The bridge was an S-Tek unit, and the instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball 6 String Super Long gauges (.032–.130). A universal bass case was sold separately.
Owners requiring setup work, truss rod adjustment, or compatible replacement parts — including the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, EMG 45-series pickups, or S-Tek bridge components — should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with extended-range bass instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
