Schecter positioned the Stiletto Custom-6 as a dedicated six-string electric bass within the Stiletto Custom series. The instrument was built in Indonesia and carried a bolt-on neck construction secured by six bolts, placing it in the working professional tier of Schecter's bass catalogue.
The body was mahogany with a flamed maple and walnut top, finished in Natural Satin. The multi-ply maple and walnut neck ran a 35-inch scale — 889mm — and was fitted with dual two-way adjustable truss rods accessed via a 5/32-inch Allen nut. The rosewood fretboard carried 24 X-jumbo frets at a 16-inch radius, with pearloid offset dot inlays and a 54mm Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut. Neck thickness measured .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth. Hardware throughout was satin gold. Electronics comprised a pair of EMG 40HZ humbuckers wired to a master volume, a blend control, and a two-band EMG active EQ, powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery. The S-Tek bridge and Schecter tuners completed the hardware complement. Strings fitted were Ernie Ball 6-String Super Long gauged .032–.130.
