Schecter built the Stiletto Custom-6 as a six-string electric bass positioned within the Stiletto series, manufactured in Indonesia. The model carried a 35-inch extra-long scale and a bolt-on neck construction secured with six bolts, targeting players who required extended low-end range and a fast, slim profile.
The neck was constructed from a maple and walnut multi-ply blank, shaped into a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth. It was capped with a rosewood fretboard carrying 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 16-inch radius, pearloid offset dot inlays, and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 2.125 inches wide. Dual two-way adjustable truss rods with a 5/32-inch Allen nut gave independent neck correction across the wide six-string span. The mahogany body featured a flat quilted maple top finished in Vampyre Red Satin, with all hardware in black. Electronics consisted of a pair of EMG 40HZ passive-voiced pickups driven through a 2-Band EMG Active EQ, controlled via master volume, blend, and EQ knobs — all metal knurled with set screws — and powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The S-Tek bridge and Schecter tuners completed the hardware complement. Strings fitted at the factory were Ernie Ball 6-String Super Long gauged .032–.130.
