Schecter positioned the PT Fastback II B within its PT (Telecaster-influenced) line as a model combining a Bigsby-equipped flat-top platform with a bolt-on maple neck and dual humbucking pickups. The "II B" designation distinguished it from related PT variants by its specific pickup and vibrato configuration. It was manufactured in South Korea and finished in Dark Emerald Green with chrome hardware and creme single-ply binding.
The alder body is joined by a bolt-on maple neck carrying a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, a 14" (355mm) radius, and 22 X-Jumbo frets across a 25.5" (648mm) scale. The Thin 'C' profile measures .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. A Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut sits at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key.
