Schecter built the PT as a single-cutaway solid-body electric positioned as a working instrument in their lineup, manufactured in South Korea with a bolt-on maple neck and an alder body finished in Gloss Black with creme 1-ply binding.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, topped with a maple fretboard radiused at 14" and carrying 22 X-Jumbo frets. The 42mm Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut feeds a 25.5" scale, and a 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" Allen nut. Both pickup positions are loaded with Schecter Diamond SuperRock-II humbuckers, routed through a Volume, Push-Pull Tone, and 3-Way Switch control layout with metal knurled set-screw knobs. The PT-H bridge routes strings through the body, and Grover tuners handle the headstock end. Hardware throughout is finished in black.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, Grover tuners, and PT-H string-through bridge all have established aftermarket footprints — a qualified guitar technician can confirm fit against current production equivalents before installation.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
