Schecter positioned the Omen-6 as an entry point in its Omen series, built in Indonesia with a bolt-on maple neck and basswood body. The model carried an arched top profile, ivory 1-ply binding, and black chrome hardware throughout, offering a specification level that placed it firmly in the accessible tier of Schecter's electric guitar range.
The neck runs a Thin 'C' profile with a 25.5" (648mm) scale and a flat 14" (355mm) fretboard radius across 24 X-Jumbo frets on a rosewood board inlaid with Pearloid Semi-Goth markers. Nut duties fall to a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the neck is adjustable via a 2-way truss rod with a 5/32" Allen nut. The bridge is a Tune-O-Matic with string-through-body anchoring. Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, governed by a volume control, a tone control, and a 3-way toggle switch; knobs are metal knurled with set screws. Schecter-branded tuners and Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010–.046) completed the factory specification.
