Schecter positioned the Omen-7 LH as a left-handed entry in its Omen series — a seven-string, bolt-on electric guitar built around an arched-top basswood body with ivory 1-ply binding, strung for extended-range playing on a 26.5" (673mm) baritone-style scale. The instrument was produced in Indonesia and finished in Gloss Black with black chrome hardware throughout.
The maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, and is fitted with a 2-way adjustable truss rod accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. The rosewood fretboard runs to a 16" (406mm) radius and carries 24 X-Jumbo frets with Pearloid Semi-Goth inlays. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.889" (48mm) wide — the wider dimension accommodating the seven-string course. Tuning is handled by Schecter-branded tuners. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge uses string-through-body anchoring, and both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, wired to a Volume/Tone/3-Way Switch arrangement with metal knurled knobs. The factory string set was Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7 #2621 (.010–.056).
