Schecter positioned the Omen Extreme-7 as a seven-string entry in its Omen Extreme series, built for extended-range players seeking a higher-specification instrument at an accessible point in the line. The guitar was manufactured in Indonesia and featured a bolt-on neck construction with a mahogany body and a quilted maple arched top.
The maple neck carried a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, and was fitted with a rosewood fretboard at a 26.5" (673mm) baritone-adjacent scale. Twenty-four X-Jumbo frets sat over a 16" (406mm) radius board, with abalone and pearloid Vector inlays and creme multi-ply binding. The Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut measured 1.889" (48mm) to accommodate the seven-string spread, and the two-way adjustable truss rod accepted a 5/32" (4mm) allen key. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body stringing was paired with black chrome hardware throughout, including Schecter tuners and metal knurled knobs with set screws.
