Description

Schecter positioned the Omen Extreme-6 as a higher-specification entry in the Omen series, distinguishing it from the base Omen line through its quilted maple top, multi-ply binding, and upgraded hardware. The guitar was built in Indonesia with a bolt-on construction and carried item number 2004 in Schecter's catalogue, finished here in Black Cherry.

The mahogany body features an arched quilted maple top with creme multi-ply binding and black chrome hardware throughout. The maple neck is cut to a Thin 'C' profile — measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth — and carries a rosewood fretboard with abalone and pearloid vector inlays, a 14" radius, and 24 X-jumbo frets. Nut duties fall to a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.653" (42mm) width. The two-way adjustable truss rod accepts a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring handles intonation and sustain, while two Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers feed a control layout of two volumes, a push-pull tone, and a three-way switch. Schecter tuners and metal knurled set-screw knobs complete the hardware complement. The guitar shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings at a 25.5" (648mm) scale.

Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or parts sourcing — including compatible Tune-O-Matic saddles, Graph Tech XL Tusq nuts, or string-through ferrules — should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with bolt-on bolt instruments of this specification.

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
