Schecter positioned the Hellraiser Hybrid C-1 FR S (item 1957) within its Hellraiser Hybrid series as a high-output, feature-laden electric guitar built on a set-neck platform. The model was manufactured in South Korea and combined an arched quilted maple top over a mahogany body with a three-piece maple neck, targeting players who required extended sustain and broad tonal flexibility from a single instrument.
Construction followed a set-neck design with Ultra Access heel contouring. The ebony fretboard ran 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 25.5" (648mm) scale and a 12"–16" compound radius, with an Ultra Thin 'C' neck profile measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. Mother of Pearl offset/reverse dot inlays and a Gothic Cross at the 12th fret provided visual reference, supplemented by glow-in-the-dark side dots. The nut position was occupied by a Floyd Rose 1500 Series locking nut at 1.625" (41.3mm) width, paired with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge in black chrome hardware — a combination requiring the double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment to power the Sustainiac neck pickup alongside the EMG 57 (brushed black chrome cover) at the bridge. The four-control layout — volume, tone, intensity, three-way pickup switch, two-way Sustainiac on/off switch, and three-way Sustainiac mode switch (Fundamental/Mix/Harmonic) — reflects the complexity of the Sustainiac system. Carbon fiber multi-ply binding finished the body edges. Grover tuners and metal knurled knobs with set screws completed the hardware complement. Strings were fitted from the factory with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 (set #2221).
Owners maintaining or setting up this instrument should consult a qualified guitar technician for Floyd Rose setup, Sustainiac calibration, or truss rod adjustment using the specified 5/32" (4mm) Allen key.
