Schecter positioned the Hellraiser Hybrid PT-7 (item 1935) as a high-specification seven-string electric guitar within the Hellraiser Hybrid series, built in South Korea with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access. The PT-7 designation indicates a single-cutaway platform accommodating a seven-string configuration, finished here in Trans Black Burst over a quilted maple top.
The body is mahogany with a quilted maple top and an arched top contour, bound in carbon fiber multi-ply. The three-piece maple neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carries an ebony fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 12"–16" compound radius. The 26.5" (673mm) baritone-range scale is paired with a 1.889" (48mm) Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut. Active electronics comprise an EMG 66-7H at the neck and an EMG 57-7H at the bridge, both in brushed black chrome covers, routed through a volume/tone/3-way switch layout with metal knurled knobs; a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment serves the active circuit. The Hipshot Hardtail bridge with string-through-body stringing and Schecter locking tuners complete the hardware complement, all finished in black chrome. Inlays are MOP offset/reverse dots with a Gothic Cross at the 12th fret. The neck profile is the Ultra Thin 'C', measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including EMG 7-string active pickup components, Hipshot Hardtail saddles, Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nuts, or Schecter locking tuner buttons — should consult the respective manufacturers' compatibility guides and verify fit with a qualified guitar technician before installation.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
