Schecter positioned the Hellraiser C-VI LH (item 185) as a six-string bass guitar built for left-handed players, sitting within the Hellraiser series — a line that carried the brand's higher-specification hardware and active electronics. The instrument was configured for extended-range, baritone-register playing, evidenced by its 30-inch scale and Ernie Ball Hellcat VI Custom string gauges (90-75-56-44-34-24).
The body was constructed from mahogany with a quilted maple arched top, finished in Black Cherry with black chrome hardware throughout. The set-neck joint featured Ultra Access contouring, and the three-piece mahogany neck incorporated carbon fiber reinforcement rods and a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth. The 24-fret rosewood fingerboard ran to a 14-inch radius with abalone Gothic Cross inlays, abalone binding with black/white/black multi-ply, and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.653 inches wide. Electronics consisted of an EMG 81TW at the bridge and an EMG 89R at the neck, each controlled by a push-pull volume pot — allowing coil-splitting — alongside a master tone and three-way selector switch. The TonePros bridge system used custom brass saddles, and locking tuners were Schecter's own. Power was supplied via a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.
