Schecter positioned the Hellraiser C-1 FR LH as a high-output, left-handed variant within its Hellraiser series, built around a mahogany body with a quilted maple top and a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access. The guitar was manufactured in South Korea and carried a Black Cherry finish.
The three-piece mahogany neck is carved to a Thin 'C' profile — measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth — and terminates at a 14" (355mm) radius rosewood fretboard fitted with 24 X-Jumbo frets and abalone Gothic Cross inlays. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge with Floyd Rose locking nut governs pitch stability across the 25.5" (648mm) scale. Electronics consist of an EMG 81TW at the bridge and an EMG 89R at the neck, each routed through a push-pull volume pot that engages the pickups' coil-split function; a single tone control and a 3-way switch complete the circuit. Hardware throughout is finished in black chrome, including the Grover tuners and metal knurled knobs. Abalone binding with black/white/black multi-ply trim runs the body perimeter. Power is supplied by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The guitar shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge accepts standard Floyd Rose-spec saddles and springs, and the locking nut width of 1.625" (41.3mm) should be matched precisely when seeking a substitute. The 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key.
