Schecter built the Hellraiser C-1 LH as the left-handed variant of its Hellraiser C-1, positioning it within the Hellraiser series as a high-output, feature-rich electric guitar aimed at players who required active electronics and an extended fretboard. The model carried item number 1795 and was finished in Black Cherry.
Construction is set-neck with Ultra Access, joining a three-piece mahogany neck to a mahogany body topped with quilted maple. The arched top is bound in abalone with black/white/black multi-ply binding. The 25.5-inch scale rosewood fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets, a 14-inch radius, and abalone Gothic Cross inlays. The Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut measures 1.653 inches wide, and the Thin 'C' neck profile measures 0.787 inches at the first fret and 0.866 inches at the twelfth. A two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32-inch Allen nut. Hardware is finished in black chrome throughout: Schecter locking tuners, a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic with string-through-body anchoring, and metal knurled knobs with set screws. Pickups are an EMG 81TW at the bridge and an EMG 89R at the neck, each wired to a push-pull volume control for coil-splitting, with a shared tone control and three-way switch. Power is supplied via a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010–.046).
Owners seeking replacement parts — including TonePros T3BT-compatible components, Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nuts, EMG active pickup hardware, or string-through ferrules — should consult a qualified guitar technician to confirm fit against the instrument as built.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
